Adam Smith LL.D---The
father of economics[1]. Born in Scotland, he was a professor, author and is infamous for two
large volumes, first published in 1776, called An Inquiry Into the Nature
and Causes of the Wealth of Nations also referred to as the Wealth of
Nations, or WON. Smith’s
masterpiece is a message that the wealth of a nation is not net exports weighed
in gold or money…an upset to the mercantilist way of
thinking. Smith is notorious for his one-liner about the concept of the invisible hand.
