golden ratio---Two quantities
in which the two added together divided by the larger of the two is the same as
the larger divided by the smaller…the Fibonacci series. The results will
level out at approximately 1.618 over time. For example, 233 and 377, two
numbers in the Fibonacci series, add up to 610 and 610 divided by 377 is
approx. 1.618. And 377 divided by 233 is also approx. 1.618---the golden ratio.
It goes a little above 1.618 and a little below 1.618 in waves over time. Thanks
to Dad, Professors Sedgewick and Wayne, http://algs4.cs.princeton.edu/home/, Amazon,
Pearson and to Princeton, Coursera, the awesome crew at Bloomberg LP, Google and
Wikipedia for help in arriving at this definition. Still, with the technology
of the time, whether it actually rounds out exactly to 1.618 is still unknown.
