Reaganomics---Is a term named for actor and President
Ronald Reagan of the USA for a type of fiscal
policy. Some call it comic.
Others are very serious about it and believe it is tried and true. Other names
for it are supply side economics, trickle-down economics and voodoo
economics. It involves tax cuts on the wealthy so they will
place accumulated capital in things needed and wanted, and provide jobs to
those who need them, thereby setting off a cascading effect that reaches all
the way down to the lowest, poorest rungs on the ladder. Some claim it works well. Most do not. There was a new wave of
technological devices (personal computers) taking off right around this time, 1980 or so. Father
time is at the centre of this whorl.
