clouds---(computer
science, mathematics, finance, economics) A new “takeoff” in information
technology where data, information, energy and software/hardware for
communication and exchange is stored in more centralised locations and less
from decentralised points, serving to increase the total global ability to
store data and information and make exchanges of financial products,
commodities, services and manufactured goods as well. However, this modus
operandi increases the need for “security” to keep the old pirates out
of the way, at least according to legend. On the other hand, education, true
information, knowledge and wisdom are a form of security, perhaps the best
security investment of all time. Legend
has it there is a cloud in Miami, FL and there is one under construction over
DC in 2009. Both connect to each other and the other clouds across the globe,
translating between different languages, trading in different exchange rates,
etc.
